World Book Day Assembly, Stars of the Week and Weekly Notices 06.03.26
Today we were delighted to celebrate World Book Day at Kilrea Primary School with a wonderful assembly led by our P3/4 class. The pupils did a fantastic job sharing some of their favourite books and telling us why they enjoy them so much. They then challenged everyone with a fun storybook quiz, which had pupils and staff thinking carefully about well-known characters and stories. The assembly finished with a lively World Book Day song, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to P3/4 for leading such an engaging and enjoyable assembly!
Congratulations also to our Stars of the Week. Certificates were awarded to pupils who have been working hard in class, growing in confidence and believing in themselves, and for those who consistently show great respect to adults. One pupil was recognised for a thoughtful act of kindness in stepping back to let an adult through the door—a wonderful example of our school values in action.
A special mention goes to one of our P2 pupils, who has successfully completed their latest swimming class. We are very proud of this achievement—well done!
Please take a moment to read the poster for this week’s notices to keep up to date with everything happening in school.
And remember our school motto:
“From strong roots, great things grow!” 🌱📚
