P5 & 6 finished off their World War 2 topic with a visit to the V.E. Day 80th Anniversary exhibition in Coleraine Town Hall. Each group had the opportunity to visit the museum, handle artefacts and dress in war time costumes as well as enjoy a short tour of the town centre. On the way they discovered where the American GI and ARP headquarters were, learned about different memorials to local people who served and found out what precautions had been put in place in case of invasion. Many thanks to all the experts who showed us around and to Causeway Coast and Glens museum service for the opportunity to visit.
