π P7 Leavers’ Night – A Very Special Evening π
We had such a brilliant night celebrating our wonderful P7 pupils at their Leavers’ Evening. It was a lovely mix of fun, memories and a few emotional moments too.
πΆ A Lovely Start
Our evening began in the best way, with two of our girls playing the bagpipes as they led the P7 pupils into the hall – such a proud moment for them and for us all.
Our Chairman of the Board of Governors welcomed everyone and spoke so thoughtfully to the boys and girls. He talked about the number 1044 – the number of days they have spent in primary school – and how those days have helped build such a strong foundation for what lies ahead. He wished them every happiness and success and said how much he looked forward to hearing about all they go on to achieve.
π P7 Take Centre Stage
Then it was over to our amazing P7s with their own P7 Generation Game! We were treated to highland dancing, karate, drumming, team balancing and hula hooping – such a range of talents on display.
A big thank you to our guests who joined in so willingly – you were fantastic sports!
π₯ Looking Back
We loved watching a video of the boys and girls sharing their favourite memories from P7. There were lots of smiles (and a few tears!) when we saw the comparison of their P1 photos with them now in P7 – how much they have grown.
β A Special Touch
During tea, our pupils served their guests so well. It was lovely to see their confidence, manners and sense of responsibility shining through.
π Words to Inspire
We were delighted to welcome Judith Mulholland, a past pupil, who spoke about her journey into veterinary science. She was so encouraging and really inspired our boys and girls to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.
π Celebrating Each Child
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for – the presentations! Each pupil received their Record of Achievement, and we are very grateful to our PTA who kindly gifted every child a new school tie – thank you for your continued support.
π¬ A Few Final Words
I had the privilege of speaking to our boys and girls and reflecting on how much they have grown and matured over the years. I encouraged them to make good choices as they move on, to always choose kindness, and to carry our school values with them.
π The Perfect Ending
We finished the evening with a very funny video created by our P7 pupils – a perfect way to end such a special night.
We are incredibly proud of every single one of our P7 pupils. They leave us as confident, kind and capable young people, and we know they have bright futures ahead of them.
