Our P6/7 pupils had a fantastic first day at their residential trip to Woodhall! We began by working together to create our group contract, setting the tone for a respectful, fun and safe experience for everyone. After that, the excitement built as we moved into our rooms and made up our beds – for many, a first taste of independence!
Following a delicious lunch, we jumped straight into the Crystal Maze games, which challenged us to work as a team and build skills in leadership, communication, and problem solving. Everyone gave it their all, and it was brilliant to see how much support and encouragement the children gave each other.
After a well-earned and yummy dinner, the evening continued with orienteering across the site, followed by the ever-popular Night Line activity. Navigating through the course blindfolded really pushed everyone to trust each other and communicate clearly – and we were amazed by the resilience and enthusiasm shown by every single child.
We are incredibly proud of how our pupils have stepped outside of their comfort zones, tackled new challenges with courage, and most importantly, had so much fun along the way. What a brilliant start to our adventure at Woodhall!
