On Thursday, our P1–P6 Prize Giving took on a slightly different — but very special — feel as we made the most of the beautiful weather and hosted the event outdoors in our secret garden. It proved to be a brilliant afternoon filled with celebration, music and proud moments.
The boys and girls delighted everyone with their singing, performing both Happy Wanderer and The Lions May Grow Weak and Hungry with great enthusiasm and confidence. Their joyful voices set the tone perfectly for the afternoon. Our Chairman also spoke during the event, congratulating our boys and girls for all their hard work throughout the year and recognising their many achievements. The highlight of the afternoon was, of course, the presentation of prizes. Pupils were recognised for their successes across a wide range of areas including Sports, Accelerated Reader, Progress, Effort and different Curriculum Areas. We also celebrated those who made valuable contributions to school life through the School Council, Eco Council, sports teams and swimming.
To round off the afternoon, our Kilrea’s Got Talent winner gave an unforgettable performance, finishing the event with an amazing rap all about our school — a fantastic and fitting finale! Thank you to everyone who came along to support and encourage our boys and girls. Your presence made the afternoon even more special. We are incredibly proud of all our pupils and their achievements.
