🦺NSPCC Assembly & Stars of the Week ⭐️
Today, Mrs Cooper led a very important assembly all about Keeping Safe.
We explored the idea of danger and discussed the many things that help to protect us from it. Some of our younger pupils dressed up in protective gear—including gloves, a high-visibility vest, safety glasses, and a hard hat—to help us learn about how these items keep us safe. We also learned how to recognise the symbol for danger and understand what it means.
Mrs Cooper reminded us that when we are young, our parents and carers help to keep us safe in many ways—such as holding our hands when we cross the road, using a fire guard at home, and making sure we always wear our seatbelts.
At school, our teachers and staff also work hard to protect us. Whether it's through regular fire drills, keeping us off the grass when it’s being cut, or simply making sure we are happy and safe, the adults around us play an important role in looking after our wellbeing.
We also talked about how we can keep ourselves safe online—a very important topic for everyone. This term, we will be focusing on online safety in more detail, helping pupils understand how to protect themselves in the digital world.
Keeping safe is something we all take seriously at KPS, and we look forward to learning more together this term.
