P1&2 have enjoyed exploring our topic of Home Sweet Home. To finish it off we created our own houses out of junk materials with lots of special design features. We opened our own museum and looked at some old household utensils. We tried to guess what the items had been used for, explored what they were made from and felt how heavy they were. We all decided that it must have been hard work doing chores in the ‘olden days’ and hoped that the carpet beater was only used to beat carpets!! We finished off by creating sweetie houses like the house in the story of Hansel and Gretel. We had lots of finger licking fun.
