Mrs Millar brought in a bag of horse chestnuts to school for P1&2 boys and girls. We had lots of fun popping the lovely shiny, brown conkers from their shells and comparing their different sizes. We then looked at the roots of a small horse chestnut tree before we planted in our school grounds. Isaac the oldest boy in P7 and Annie the youngest P1 planted the tree in a big hole. We are looking forward to gathering conkers from it when we are older. Hopefully from these strong roots a great tree will grow.
