Final Assembly
Final Assembly 2024–2025
Our final assembly of the school year was a wonderful celebration led by Mrs McCombe, who took the opportunity to reflect on the year and thank the incredible staff of Kilrea Primary School.
To mark the occasion, pupils were each given a short description or statement about a member of staff. They had to guess who it described—and when they got it right, they had the joy of presenting that staff member with a small gift as a token of appreciation. It was a lovely way to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our team in a fun and thoughtful manner.
Mrs McCombe reminded us that the school year has now come to an END—but also used this word to share some meaningful reflections:
-
MEND – The end of the year is a perfect time to mend any friendships if there have been disagreements.
-
SPEND – Take time over the summer to enjoy the company of your family and make special memories.
-
FRIENDS – Keep in touch, meet up, and have fun with your friends during the holidays.
-
ASCEND – As we look ahead to the new school year, many of us will be moving into new classes, with some pupils taking on senior roles and responsibilities.
We also took a moment to say thank you:
-
Miss Barkley and Mrs Kelso were each presented with flowers in recognition of their valuable contribution in covering staff absences this year.
-
A heartfelt farewell was given to Mrs Millar, who received flowers and a gift in appreciation of her tremendous impact over the past two and a half years. Her dedication and positivity have been deeply appreciated by staff and pupils alike. We wish her every happiness and success in the future.
As we bring this school year to a close, we thank everyone in our school family for their support, kindness, and hard work. Have a safe and happy summer break!
