We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of pupils, staff, and families remains our top priority.

Schools Closures Counties Antrim, Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh.
Last night the Met Office issued an Amber weather alert, which covers parts of Northern Ireland from 3pm on Friday until 8pm and is warning of "spell of damaging winds on Friday late afternoon and evening".
Following further confirmation from the Met Office this morning that this upgraded warning will remain in place today I am writing to inform you that all schools located in the areas affected by the amber warning in Northern Ireland are required to close at 12 midday today, Friday 03 October 2025, due to severe weather conditions.
The alert covers the western half of Northern Ireland - counties Antrim, Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh.
It has cited the potential for power cuts and damage to buildings, including a risk of injuries from flying debris.
I understand this will impact on the work of schools but the decision has been taken to avoid any potential risk to life for children, young people and staff.
Your support is appreciated.
Regards,
Richard Pengelly
EA Chief Executive
