We would like to say a huge congratulations to all of our children who won vouchers for the Scholastic Book Fair!
Each class was set an exciting literacy challenge linked to wonderful stories and books:
P1/2 were challenged to design a book cover for the story I Know an Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe. The creativity, colour and imagination on display were fantastic!
P3/4 explored The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by drawing characters and writing descriptions about them. The detail and thought put into both artwork and writing was brilliant.
P5–P7 took part in our Pitch Your Passion challenge, where pupils had just one minute to tell everyone about their favourite book and explain why others should read it. The confidence, enthusiasm and persuasive speaking skills were outstanding.
Well done to everyone who took part — it was extremely challenging to choose the winners because of the high standard of work across the school!
