Thank you to Martin McCook from the Mid Antrim Beekeeping Association for his amazing talk on the importance of bees in our environment. The children learned about the Queen, Worker and Drone bees and the different roles they have in the hive, how to do the bee waggle dance and had the opportunity to observe honey bees in an observation hive. We even spotted the Queen bee. A fantastic morning of beekeeping at Kilrea Primary School! 🤩🐝
