Assembly with Mrs Roulston

18th Mar 2026

Today, Mrs Roulston led our assembly, beginning with a fun egg hunt. Two enthusiastic volunteers did a fantastic job finding all of the hidden eggs! We then shared the many things we love about spring, with egg hunts coming out on top.

Mrs Roulston reminded us that Easter is fast approaching and shared the Easter story with a focus on Mary. After Jesus died, Mary visited the tomb and discovered that the stone had been rolled away and Jesus was no longer there. When Jesus spoke to her, she realised it was him—he was alive! Although she was shocked, she was filled with joy and hurried to share the wonderful news with her friends.

We also learned about the meaning behind Easter eggs. Eggs are a symbol of new life, just as a chick hatches from an egg. They also remind us of the stone that was rolled away from the tomb, and that Jesus rose again.

Thank you, Mrs Roulston, for a thoughtful and engaging assembly.

A big thank you to our P7 pupils for reminding us that next week is Walk and Wheel Week. We will meet at Woodland Park at 8:30am to walk to school together—we hope to see many of you there!

A quick reminder that cupcake money and forms should be returned to school by Friday 20th. Don’t forget that Friday is also Break the Rules Day—please make sure payment is made via ParentPay and that you bring your completed form to confirm which rules you would like to break.

Finally, congratulations to one of our P3 superstars who has successfully completed the next level in swimming. It’s wonderful to hear about your progress—well done!
