Assembly, Stars of the Week and Friday Notices 21.12.25

18th Nov 2025

Assembly Focus: Independence

This week, Mrs McCombe led our whole-school assembly on the important value of Independence. She shared a lovely story about Pip, a little bird learning to spread his wings, and the brave steps he took to become independent.

Mrs McCombe reminded everyone that being independent means being brave, courageous, and willing to try—even when something feels challenging.

Next week, teachers will be looking out for boys and girls who are showing independence in practical ways. You might:

  • pack your own school bag the night before,

  • zip up your own coat,

  • or, for our older pupils, access Google Classroom by yourselves.

Everyone was encouraged to think about what they can do to become even more independent at home and in school.

Celebrating Success

A big well done to three of our talented boys who came second place in a Boys’ Brigade Football Tournament! They were very proud to share their medals with us—well done, boys!

Friday Notices

We have lots happening in school at the moment!

A special thank you to everyone who supported our Children in Need fundraising. We raised a fantastic £346.60, which is truly impressive. As a Take 5 school, we value the importance of giving, and your generosity makes a real difference.

Please also join us in sharing a warm invitation to our Open Night on Wednesday 3rd December.
