🌟 Assembly Focus – Excellence
Today’s assembly was led by Mrs McCombe, who spoke to the children about our school value of Excellence. Mrs McCombe shared her own experience of learning to play the piano. She explained that while she always wanted to learn, she discovered that becoming good at something takes time, hard work and perseverance — and that there is always room for improvement.
The children also learned about local sportsman Rory McIlroy, discovering that he has been practising golf since the age of three. Even when things didn’t always go his way, Rory continued to work hard and improve. We were delighted to learn that he is the only golfer to have won two consecutive Masters titles, showing what dedication and resilience can achieve.
Mrs McCombe encouraged everyone to work hard, dream big and go for it.
🎶 Celebrating Achievement
Mrs McCombe was delighted to present two pupils with their music exam certificates. Both pupils not only passed but achieved Merit results — a fantastic example of how effort and determination lead to excellent outcomes.
Congratulations also to one of our Primary 4 pupils, who recently won an impressive collection of trophies and medals for gymnastics. What an amazing achievement!
As we reminded the children today:
Keep dreaming big and working hard — you may not reach the moon, but you will definitely hit the stars! ⭐👏
